Maria Vargo is originally a “St. Louis Woman” and that is exactly where she first learned to sing the blues. She has traveled the world to advance her study of life and love for acting and singing. First, off to NY where she starred off-Broadway and then onto LA where she is currently acting in film, TV, and theatre. Last year, Maria traveled to France for the Cannes Film Festival to support her film God’s Marble. In 2006, Maria was chosen to work in Israel with some of the most recognized Hollywood and International film directors including Jon Avnet, Uli Edel, and Randal Kleiser. In 2005, she starred as Alma Mahler at the Los Angeles Theatre and in 2003 she produced, directed, and starred in Jean Genet’s The Maids at the Beverly Hills Playhouse. Along with acting, singing and directing, Maria is also a songwriter. In September of 2007, she was recognized as an up and coming new composer of Christian music by the Leading With Passion, Wings Music Ministry. She is currently working on her first album and is very grateful to God for all of the many gifts and talents he has given to her. Maria is happy to once again be a part of a show that offers viewers something to think about and hopefully something to believe in.
